What is the difference between
Static and Dynamic Websites?
A Static website
resembles a printed ad in the papers and magazines. It's contents can
only be changed by by the "publisher" and is used generally by clients
who wish to establish an Internet Website to advertise a business, a
service or has just a few items to offer. The static website is usually
much quicker to load into a browser than a dynamic style website. (this
is an important factor to web searchers who do not want to sit and wait
for animated or flash sites to load)
A
Dynamic Website
usually not only contains a layout page like a Static Website, but also
contains programming within the site to allow for a flow of data into
and out of the website. This allows the website owner to make changes
on this website as well as offering the site visitor the ability to
interact with the site. (this ranges from a simple entering of
your zip code to ordering from catalog pages and making
payments
on line) This type of site is usually slower to load into the visitor's
browser and because of it's complicated nature of construction may
offer more challenges to maintain.
